Each year, the New York City Employment and Training Coalition (NYCETC) hosts the largest conference in the city dedicated to increasing access to quality jobs, improving diversity, equity, and inclusivity in growing industries, and strengthening the linkage between workforce development and economic development.
This year’s conference, Setting NYC’s Workforce Agenda, offers two days of programming with distinct focuses: policy on December 3 and practice on December 4. Each day is designed to stand alone, so whether you attend one or both days, you'll hear from and network with stakeholders from across the city who are focused on setting New York City’s workforce agenda for 2025.
December 3 – Setting the Workforce Agenda — On Policy offers a day of 'deep dives' into policy innovation, advocacy, and the future of workforce development. Attendees will explore how strategic policy changes can drive meaningful progress, with a strong focus on legislative reform, funding allocations, and regulatory frameworks to support diversity, inclusivity, and accessibility.
December 4 – Setting the Workforce Agenda — On Practice is focused on practical, action-oriented discussions, emphasizing the real-world application of workforce development strategies. Attendees will be encouraged to zero in on effective performance practices and partnership approaches that truly make a difference on the ground.
The NYCETC Conference is a key part of NYC Workforce Week, which will convene stakeholders for conversations on workforce and economic development during the first week of December.
