Header and Body
New York’s transportation systems have evolved in many ways since the pandemic. In addition to transit system improvements, there have been more cars, bikes and scooters on the road and massive improvements were made to existing systems. The last few years has given us a chance to re-examine and enhance transportation systems across the city and state. This event will bring together experts across sectors to assess the current state of New York’s transportation systems, break down recent legislative actions, and look towards the future of all things coming and going in New York.

Bettering NY Through Transportation
Throughout New York, different types of alternative transportation have emerged helping commuters connect more easily. Bike and ride sharing, e-bikes and scooters are now a way of life for New Yorkers, both for commuting and for recreation. In urban areas, different types of alternative transportation have helped residents commute and connect more easily. Transit systems are making more stations accessible and upgrading antiquated features. Congestion pricing is still on the table and is proposed to reduce traffic, improve air quality and provide more resources to invest in projects. From replacing old infrastructure, adding new policies, revving up our electric vehicle network, New York prioritizes reconnecting communities, rehabilitating crucial links and improving sustainability and resilience. What is in NY’s future to build, expand and upgrade airports, bike lanes, bistate rail lines, waterways, bridges, highways and roads? What are the new technologies that are impacting how we travel safely and efficiently?
